While toying with the idea of setting one up, I remembered that I had some time ago...

so here I am.

I went on a late night walk this evening, and brought one of my camera's along. Most of today was spent editing photos from this summers onslaught of weddings. So many ugly people in this world!

I don't really believe that... ... ...

But I do get tired of people getting pissed at my photos because they don't like the way that they look. Their deficiency is not my problem... except for when I'm getting paid.

The last wedding that I shot did not suffer from the above problem, and was much easier. It's funny, because the brides/ brides maids/ mother in laws that get pissed always like the blurry "artistic" shots, where their features are obscured... I should refer them to Myspace, where such ID photos are the norm.

What REALLY chaps my hide though is when clients breach their contract. My standard contract has a clause which states that I will be the exclusive photographer. Obviously I don't care when people pull out their point and shoots. But a few weeks ago, a guy showed up at a wedding with his gear bag, a D200, and a 70-200 lens. The ceremony starts, and he starts snapping away. Friend of the family... so no big deal. I've been tempted to do the same at my own friends weddings. But this Dick keeps following me around, snapping photos of poses that I set up.

My assistant (who happens to also be my fiance) spoke with the guy eventually. She's half German, and half Jewish, so she can get pretty feisty when needed. We later heard the guy telling people that he'd be selling his photos at such and such website...

What a dick. Seriously.

What would you have done?

I ended up getting a hot dog when I got to the gas station. I waved at the 4 cops that were hanging around the icee machine. Should have gotten a shot of that.
